Do I need a cross district add-on in Sabah and Sarawak?

Yes. If you plan to drive across districts in Sabah or Sarawak, you must purchase the cross district add-on during booking.

If you are driving within the same district, no cross district add-on is required.

Please select the furthest district you plan to travel to when choosing the add-on.

Important Notes:

  • Roads in Sabah and Sarawak are often non-asphalt or dirt roads, leading to higher maintenance costs and risks, including expensive towing or road assistance in rural areas.

  • If you plan to drive across districts, please purchase the relevant add-on during booking. Select the furthest district you intend to drive to from the add-on list.

  • Border Restrictions: Cars are not allowed to cross the borders between Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei, and Indonesia.
